Dear Fellow Porsche Club Members,

Labor Day weekend, August 30th thru September 2nd will be the time to exercise your Porsche through the pristine, cool, North Georgia Mountains at Peachstate's nationally famous Rennfest. This year we celebrate our 45th Rennfest.

We’re excited to announce that Rennfest will be returning to the stunning Brasstown Valley Resort in Young Harris, Georgia. Please plan to join us for this event-filled weekend celebration during which you will also have plenty of time to relax and socialize with friends, old and new.

The weekend begins Friday with Concours prep available all day. Registration and our Welcome Hospitality Party will be from 4:00 - 8:00pm in the Creekside Pavilion. Immediately following the Welcome Hospitality Party get ready for a special Concours for your Remote/Controlled Cars and the running of the R/C Cars Autocross. This year we will be conducting the R/C Cars Autocross indoors, in the spacious Banquet Room in the Lodge. Also, Friday evening, you will have an opportunity to attend a Rally Basics class followed by an Autocross Basics class.

Saturday starts bright and early with a spectacular Concours d’Elegance. Judging for class awards in both “Full” and “French” will commence at 9:00am. The TSD Rally is scheduled to start after lunch, with the drivers meeting scheduled to get underway at 1:00pm. Saturday evening will be a chance to get together with friends for dinner on-your-own. Remember… Rennfest guests receive a 20% meal discount in the Resort dining room all weekend (Saturday night is Prime Rib Buffet night at Brasstown Valley Resort). Then come to the Dessert Social in the Banquet Room and enjoy a special presentation by our Guest Celebrity. The Tech Quiz is also scheduled for Saturday evening in the Banquet Room.

Sunday is Autocross day… This year's Autocross event will again be held at the Southwestern Community College - Jerry Sutton Public Safety Training Center's (SCC-PSTC) driver training course located in Franklin, North Carolina. It is located west of Franklin just off Hwy 64. It only takes about 45 minutes to get there and the route is a scenic drive over the mountains, about 37 miles from Brasstown Valley Resort. Tech inspection at the course starts at 8:00am followed by the course walk-through and drivers meeting. First car out is scheduled for 10:00am. We’ll begin to wrap-up an exciting weekend with the Evening Social/Cash Bar at 5:00pm followed by seating for the Dinner and Awards Banquet at 6:30pm.

The registration fee for this year’s Rennfest is $115.00 per adult, $35.00 for children (6 to 15 years old). This covers the cost of Friday evening’s Welcome Party, participation in all competitive events, Saturday’s social, the Awards dinner, door prizes, goody bags, commemorative gifts and trophies.

Seventy-five rooms have been reserved at the Brasstown Valley Resort with a room rate of $116.00 per night and NO resort fee. www.brasstownvalley.com Call 800-201-3205 and tell them you’re with the “Peachstate Porsche Club-Rennfest” when you book your room reservations.
