S - Showroom Stock:
The Showroom Stock category is for newer Porsches with NO modifications. Normal street tires are required (140+ treadwear rating), and the spare tire and tools must remain in the vehicle. All replaced wear items must be comparable to OEM.

I - Improved:
Improved includes most cars that have significant performance-enhancing changes. The most common of these include roll cages, increased rim width between 1" and 2" over the widest factory rim, engine swaps (within the model series) , alternate gear ratios, large air dams / spoilers, ground effects, and flared / rolled fenders, among others. Note that cars in the Improved category must have a mostly complete interior and must meet specific minimum weights.

I02 All 4 cyl, 2000cc to 2699cc; 2500 pounds minimum
I03 All 4 cyl, 2700cc and above; All 6 cyl, up to 2399cc; 2200 pounds minimum
I04 All 6 cyl and above, 2400cc to 3199cc; All turbo/supercharged 4 cyl; 2150 pounds minimum
I05 All 6 cyl and above, 3200cc and above; 2700 pounds minimum
I06 All turbo/supercharged 6 cyl and above; 2500 pounds minimum

M - Modified:
The Modified category is the only category in which non-DOT tires are permitted. The only restrictions on cars in this category are that the motor, transmission and chassis be Porsche-based.
