Concours #1 - Porsches and Planes III

The May 18th Concours marks the first Concours of
2008. Stoney Point Airfield is the site. Bridgestone Tires is our event sponsor
this year and will be awarding a set of brand new tires to some lucky attendee. Cliff
Whitney and the Stoney Point Home Owners have invited our club back to the
airfield to hold this special concours event.There's still time to prepare your Porsche and show it off at this great event. You don't want to miss this spectacle. If you attended the past two years, I don't have to say anymore. If you didn't, I'm sure you heard about it. Porsches competing in the concours will be judged in either Preparation Class (exterior, interior, engine & storage) or Street Class (wash and shine). The gates will open at 10:00AM for anyone who wishes to do last minute preparation and registration will start at 11AM. Judging will begin promptly at 1:00PM rain or shine. Awards will be given in all classes and a 'Peoples Choice Award' will be presented.
All Porsches are welcome, even non-competing cars. The cost to compete in the Concours is only $10.00 and there is no cost to be a spectator. Lunch will be a Texas style BBQ sandwich and drink, and will be available for $5.00 (lunch is free for the volunteers). We encourage Porsche drivers who are not competing to park in the area designated "Porsche Corral" where spectators can admire the non-judged cars. Sunday, May 18th promises to be a great event for everyone, and one lucky participant will receive a new set of tires compliments of Bridgestone Tires.
Directions to Stoney Point Airport are easy. Take exit #12 (McFarland Road) off GA 400, go east 6/10 of a mile, turn left onto Shiloh Road follow that for 1.8 miles turn left onto Stoney Point Road follow it for 6/10 of a mile, turn left at Kitfox Circle a (gated road) and you're there. Mark your calendar for Sunday May 18th - I hope to see lots of new participants as well as previous competitors. The event is planned to be social as well as a Concours Event and is for everyone in the Peachstate Region.
