The Summer Rally
Sunday, August 2nd 2009
The next rally will be Sunday August 2nd and will be run on roads southwest of
Atlanta on some of the areas quietest and most scenic roads. Some of the roads
on the route are designated Georgia scenic byway roads so come out and enjoy a
drive through the country. The rally will end at Suzanne and Bob Minarcine's
house for the after rally party and picnic. For those who want to picnic, there
will be "dawgs" on the grill and watermelon to keep you cool. There will be a
nominal charge of $2.50 per person for the picnic. The cost of the rally is
$10.00 per car. Registration for the rally will open at 1PM and close at 1:30
for the driver's meeting. The rally will start at a Publix shopping center which
also has a McDonalds so one can grab some food or beverage before the rally
start. There are no gas stations on the rally so make sure you have plenty of
gas. To get to the rally start:
- take I-85 south past Hartsfield airport and exit onto South Fulton Parkway
- or
- take I-285 to the southwest part of town and approaching the I-85 exit, look for and exit ON South Fulton Parkway.
- Continue on South Fulton parkway for about 7 miles.
- Turn right onto Hwy 92 and the Publix shopping center will be immediately on the right.
- Stay on Hwy 92 to the far end of the shopping center and turn right on the road that runs alongside the far side of McDonalds.
- After the right turn (McDonalds on your right) look for the PCA sign on the left.
