This event will be the Rally version of Porsches and Planes. The Rally will begin and end at the Dixie Wing of the Commemorative Air Force hangar at Falcon Field, the Peachtree City airport. The Dixie Wing has six operational WW II aircraft with two additional in restoration. This will be a no-ropes display and you can see up close, fine examples of aircraft such as the Douglas "Dauntless" and the Beechcraft "Expeditor". In restoration is a rare Bell "King Cobra". Rally Registration, on Sunday June 22, begins at 1:00pm and first car out is scheduled for 2:00pm Please plan to arrive close to 1:00, so that you can be registered, teched and meet some of the other participants before the drivers' meeting about 1:30. The drive from the I-75/I-85 interchange at Brookwood to the Dixie Wing hangar will take just over an hour, so please set off early enough to be there shortly after 1:00pm. Registration fee is $10 per car.

Please bring a pad of paper, writing instrument(s), a watch that displays seconds (digital is best), a clipboard to hold your Rally instructions, while you rally and your choice of beverage for the after rally social. Don Enderlein, a Merrill Lynch financial advisor and Peachstate member, will host the after Rally social with plenty of barbeque. He is also a member of the Dixie Wing and has graciously provided the hangar for registration and the after Rally social.

Some of Hwy 74 is under construction but on Sunday, traffic should not be a big problem. After these instructions, you should be in rally mode when you arrive!

We invite all Porsche Club members to come on out this Sunday. We would like very much for you to participate in the Rally as a competitive team or worker BUT if you just want an afternoon out to see these great warbirds, then you are also welcome. Please be sure to let us know that you are planning to attend this event, in whatever capacity, so that there will be plenty of barbeque for all.
