Ingram Collection Tour

Last Updated: 12/20/2023, 19:21:38

The Ingram Collection is a private collection of Porsches which is not open to the public and includes the Pebble Beach Concours winning 356 GTL Abarth, historic race cars, 911’s from almost every era, and super cars like the Carrera GT and 918. Instead of me trying to describe everything take a look at these web sites and you will understand why this is an opportunity not to be missed:

Christophorus: Porsche Collection Ingram Family
Sports Car Digest: Ingram Family Porsche Collection

Not only will you see the cars, but also the state of the art restoration shops the Ingram family operate, and your tour will be led by none other than Rory and Cam Ingram who will give you very detailed information about what you are seeing. This family is passionate about Porsches!

The collection is located in Durham, NC, so this will be an overnight tour. We will drive up on Saturday March 16, visit the collection, then go check-in to the Hilton Garden Inn Southpoint and have a catered Italian buffet dinner. If you want you can continue with a social hour afterwards in the bar at the hotel. We have a block of 30 rooms at a special rate of $129 plus tax. The catered dinner is optional and will cost $39/person (tax and gratuity included). There are plenty of other restaurants in the area, but our food will be hot and ready upon our arrival. If you choose to go somewhere else you will have to wait for seating, then order and wait again for your food and miss out on socializing with tour participants.

Some people may not want to drive so far in one day. If that is you, then you can leave Friday, drive part way, and join us for the remainder of the drive up, or simply meet us there. You could even fly up to Durham and meet us there. On Sunday we will drive to Carthage, NC using scenic backroads for a BBQ meal at the Pik n Pig restaurant which is located beside a small airport. The food there is great and you may see planes flying in and out. Following lunch we will drive to Charlotte using scenic roads and then take I-85 back to the Atlanta area.

This is a charity tour, so we will be asking for a minimum donation of $100 for the first person (100% tax deductible) and $50 for additional persons (also tax deductible). Each donating tour participant registered by February 15 will receive a commemorative T-Shirt. Of course, you could decide to go “Gold” and donate $100 per person or even donate an additional amount of your choice. If you can’t make it to the tour you could still donate an amount of your choice. All donations will go to support the Parkinson’s Disease Comprehensive Care Clinic at Emory Udall Parkinson’s Disease Center in Atlanta. Registration will be on the Tour Toward a Cure web site: www.drivetowardacure.org
