The weather person said Sunday, August 1 would be hot as well as there would be a good chance of thunderstorms. In spite of the forecast, eleven rally teams arrived to rally on the southwest side of Atlanta as well as one solo participant. More about this in a bit.

The weather might have been hot, however the roads were COOL with some of them being designated Georgia Scenic Byways. There was hardly any traffic on the roads, and most of the horse power that was seen was on horse farms that the rally teams passed. The rally name was "Looking For A Cute Duncan" and this was because in the rally the instruction "Acute Left on Duncan Rd" occurred three times! The rally ended at the Minarcine home with a summer picnic of hot dogs, watermelon and apple pie. People had a great time sitting at the tables talking about their adventures on the rally route while enjoying the picnic.

Trophies were then presented with the top rally team not being a team, but a solo person, namely James Lyle, with an outstanding score of 47 points! Does this mean rally driving is better with only one person in the car with only one opinion?

A rally could not happen unless there are workers for the checkpoints. Thanks go to Kathy and Jack Baker, David Ulfik, Danny Saxton, and non Porsche Club members Jim Cross and Thomas Coursey for helping man the checkpoints as well as my bride, Suzanne who worked a checkpoint as well as helped me check the rally route while minding three grandchildren in the back seat of the car!
