The October 20 tour will start from Chick Fil-A located at 830 Barrett Parkway West in Kennesaw and go to the Coker Tire Car Museum in Chattanooga Tennessee. Sign-in will begin at 8:00. We will stay off the interstate and approach Chattanooga by way of Lookout Mountain for the scenery and good Porsche roads. The guided tour of the museum will be done in two groups separated by 15 minutes so that all can enjoy the fantastic collection of classic automobiles. We have arranged an exclusive tour for a time when they are normally closed so we will get special attention.
After our tour we will proceed to the Chattanooga Choo Choo, which has a lot of construction going on, but there are three restaurants grouped there so we can choose our lunch options without swamping any one restaurant. Plan on this being a late lunch as we will arrive at the Coker Tire Museum around noon, and the tour takes about an hour and a quarter. You are on your own to explore downtown Chattanooga, or head home after lunch.
Cost of the driving tour will be $15 per vehicle for club members, $20 for non-members. The Coker Tire Museum tour will cost $20 per person regardless of club membership. Lunch at any of the three restaurants at the Chattanooga Choo Choo is not included in the tour cost, but all are reasonably priced.
